The french, why do they always seem to mess things up. Laughing Kidding.

But our run of nice sunny weather has halted as we arrive in France to race at the amazing Magny-Cours circuit.

Rain has been falling for the past few days and will be around for qualifying forcing the drivers to practice and compete in qualifying on wet weather tyres.

Though the forecast shows that for the races, the track will be bone dry with a decent amount of sunshine poking through the clouds. Though the cloud cover is expected to increase and ambient temperatures to reduce through the day as it gets later.

Rain will be falling throughout the practice session, with the rainfall intensity increasing as the session goes on. With ambient temperature expected to fall as the clouds get darker. The 85mins session (this is how long the weather file has practice written for, but the event officially starts with quali, so this is only relevant for people who are on the server practicing before the event officially starts) is rather consistent with it's weather continuing into the qualifying session, meaning there will be zero surprises when the drivers roll out to decide the grid for race 1.

So for qualifying, there will be heavy rain falling onto an already damp race track. The rain will be very consistent for the area, with the weather being very cold as well for the entire session. Forcing drivers to be out on track as much as possible because you will only go faster by being out on track as much as possible, rather than sitting and just doing one flying blitz run.

The weather for Race 1 will be very dry with nice, warm and gentle temperatures. The conditions are expected to be very steady with the cloud cover increasing slowly as the day goes on.

Race 2 will be very similar to race 1, just with a bit more cloud cover, with cooler conditions on track and in the air.

There will be absolutely zero chance of rain during the day of the race, with us being lucky to avoid more as the clouds get darker throughout the race with rain expected after the event. I repeat after the event, anyone putting on a set of wet weather tyres for either race doesn't have their head screwed on right.

Quali: Starting Track temp = +/- 15c - (59F) - Starting Air temp = 10c - (50F) - Wet/Damp
Race1: Starting Track temp = +/- 18c - (64F) - Starting Air temp = 15c - (59F) - Dry
Race2: Starting Track temp = +/- 15c - (59F) - Starting Air temp = 12c - (54F) - Dry

Good luck to all drivers racing.
